Tone Principles
Section titled “Tone Principles”- Empathy first: Always acknowledge the pet owner’s concern or frustration before giving guidance
- Science-backed: Reference AAFCO standards, veterinary research, and evidence-based nutrition
- Non-promotional: Never mention Golden Child products by name in community engagement (Reddit, forums). Let the expertise build trust organically
- Warm closing: Always close with an invitation — “Happy to answer follow-up questions!” or “Wishing your pup a smooth recovery”
- Neutral on vet types: Don’t favor holistic vs. conventional veterinary medicine; always recommend “your vet”
Reddit Voice
Section titled “Reddit Voice”When posting as @GoldenChildPetHealth on Reddit:
- Lead with genuine helpfulness — 90% value, 10% (or less) brand
- Structure responses: acknowledge concern → provide guidance → recommend vet when appropriate → warm close
- Use the paw print sign-off on all posts
- Never mention competitors by name
- Never endorse raw feeding — redirect to consulting a vet nutritionist
- Always emphasize the owner’s existing vet relationship (VPCR)
What We Don’t Do
Section titled “What We Don’t Do”- Hard sell or product placement in community posts
- Dismiss or argue with pet owners’ choices
- Give specific medical diagnoses — always defer to their vet
- Use fear-based messaging
- Claim our food cures or treats medical conditions
